Hakan Kılıç
PhD student in IEOM program at Koç University
Hakan Kılıç is a PhD candidate in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management at the Koç University. His ongoing dissertation research involves patient adherence to therapy in chronic care with a particular focus on patient time preferences. He earned his Master’s (Industrial Engineering, 2017) and Bachelor’s (Industrial Engineering, 2014) degrees from Istanbul Technical University. He worked as a research assistant in Turkish-German University (2017-18) and Istanbul Technical University (2014-17). His main research interests are stochastic dynamic programming and patient behaviour.

Ali Mete Özbek
PhD student in IEOM program at Koç University
Mete Özbek received his undergraduate dergee in Industrial Engineering from Koç University and masters degreee in Economics and Finance from Boğaziçi University. He worked for almost 15 years in global and regional financial instutions such as Deutsche Bank, Renaissance Capital and Unlu&Co as an equity research analyst, mainly focusing on the service and consumer related sectors. He currently pursues a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management from Koç University. His main research interest is stochastic modeling and analysis of health care systems.

Feray Tunçalp
PhD student in IEOM program at Koç University
Feray Tunçalp received her B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Koç University in 2016. She is currently continuing her doctoral studies in the department Industrial Engineering and Operations Management at Koc University. Her research focuses on appointment scheduling in healthcare facilities. In particular, she is interested in embedding patients’ preferences and strategic behaviors into appointment scheduling and capacity allocation problems.

Cem Deniz Bozkır
